Live Brief - Barclays Bank

On the 18th March, we met with two men who currently worked at Radbroke, IT UK Systems in Knutsford. They came to us to ask about taking portraits of the apprentices they had at that time. Radbroke have over 4000 people working there, with a diverse number of nationalities. They wanted to document the changing in culture and promote the future of the bank. Radbroke is a very modern way of working, and they wanted to show this.

The apprentices we would be working with were aged 16-23, and worked in many different areas in the company, from security, to app development. They had at the time 160 apprentices currently at Radbroke, and felt they could get a good number to volunteer to help out.

They talked about how they wanted to show their personality, and their interests, both in work like and outside of the working environment. As they were younger people, they would probably have many interest and hobbies. The bank would be hopefully using the images at Radbroke to promote the apprenticeship scheme and the bank its self. With the vast setting, the options were open and flexible. They wanted something exciting and interesting, getting the apprentices involved in the work.

We set up a day to visit Radbroke the next week, and I was able to think of my ideas to pitch to the apprentices.
